Bob and Arlene Rae donated Lady Kingsmill Nature Reserve to RWLT in 2011 through the Federal Ecological Gifts Program. Lady Kingsmill Nature Reserve is an island on Big Rideau Lake, and was once part of the Kingsmill estate. It was on neighboring Grindstone Island where Admiral Kingsmill laid plans for what is now known as the Royal Canadian Navy.

Lady Kingsmill Nature Reserve consists of mature mixed forest and wetland marsh that provides an important reproductive area for fish, reptiles and amphibians.
