Multiple Conservation Area Interpreters 

Job Overview: The Rideau Waterway Land Trust (RWLT) is a charitable organization established in 1996 with a mission to preserve important natural lands and habitats in the Rideau Corridor and foster a healthy future for our communities. RWLT is hiring multiple Conservation Area Interpreters for the 2021 season.  

We are hiring two 8-week positions commencing June 28 and 3 8-week positions commencing August 30.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-        Duties will vary and can include:
o   online and in-person interaction with visitors to the properties
o   selling passes to hikers wishing to use our trails and issuing receipts
o   property monitoring and maintenance
o   species surveys & invasive species management under the supervision of Conservation Biologists
o   preparation of educational, promotional, and social media materials for public distribution
o   other duties may be assigned from time to time


-        An interest in the outdoors
-        Available for a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and holidays
-        Must be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
-        Must have a license and reliable access to a vehicle
-        Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
-        Customer service experience is an asset
-        First Aid Certification is an asset

Job Location: Rock Dunder Nature Reserve, Stanley Lash Ln, Lyndhurst, ON

Pay: $15.00 per hour.
