Ticket Delays

We’ve received reports that some customers are not receiving the confirmation email with their tickets. If you see the confirmation screen after purchasing your pass but don't get an email, simply give your name at the gate, and our staff will check you in. There’s no need to purchase another ticket—we can see all transactions on our end.

Rock Dunder Nature Reserve is one of 21 Nature Reserves owned and operated by the Rideau Waterway Land Trust. It is a treasure that lies within the UNESCO Thousand Islands Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve. Rising 275 feet above Morton Bay, Rock Dunder provides breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes and woodlands. Trails lead to one of the highest points of land in the area, and offer stunning vistas that are enjoyed seasonally by  local residents and visitors to the area. For many, childhood memories of hiking trips to Rock Dunder remain fresh in their minds.

We aim to ensure the best possible hiking experience for all our visitors while striving to maintain the right balance between access and the protection of conservation values. Recognizing that fall weekends draw a significant influx of outdoor enthusiasts from around Canada and the world, we've revised our pricing structure to encourage the exploration of Rock Dunder during weekdays. By doing so, we aim to alleviate congestion, increase visitor safety, minimize parking along Highway 15, and reduce the strain on Rock Dunder’s trail system.

Whether you plan to visit during the weekday or on the weekend, we’re looking forward to welcoming you at Rock Dunder. Your continued support allows us at RWLT to do its part to conserve nature in our community, along the Rideau Waterway and in Eastern Ontario.

As always, our season pass offers an exceptional value at $60, granting you and those in your vehicle with you unlimited access throughout the entire season, including weekends and weekdays alike. Buy a season pass here
