• • We want to thank you for supporting Rideau Waterway Land Trust (RWLT), a charitable conservation organization that works hard to protect ecologically significant property and the diverse wildlife that calls them home.  With 21 properties along the Rideau Corridor, we are fortunate to offer Covington Cottage as a rental spot for your enjoyment. Your rent not only maintains the off-grid cottage but also contributes to our ongoing efforts in property acquisition and stewardship.

    As many of you know, the past season presented its share of challenges, prompting us to install a new stove and fridge, upgrade the gas line, and install a larger propane tank to ensure our guests never run out. As a result, we've re-evaluated our pricing, transitioning to a consistent per-night charge. In addition, we are now unfortunately required to charge HST. The new rates are as follows:

    ·      $150/night (+HST) during low season weekdays (May/June, September/October)

    ·      $180/night (+HST) during high season (July/August) and weekends (Friday/Saturday nights)

    We also offer the option for guests to follow a checklist and handle their own cleaning or pay an additional $40 cleaning fee per visit.

  • To book a stay at the cottage, please check the calendar below for available dates. If you are having trouble determining what dates are available, please reach out to us at info@rwlt.org. Once you have your dates selected, proceed to pay your $50 deposit through the below form or e-transfer to treasurer@rwlt.org with your selected dates. This will reserve your dates. Dates are reserved on a first come - first served basis, and we will strive to keep the calendar updated as soon as bookings are confirmed.
