On March 29th, 2006 the Land Trust completed the purchase of Rock Dunder. The members and supporters of the Land Trust contributed over $200,000 to make this happen.

The preservation of Rock Dunder was a wonderful example of community collaboration. From Kingston to Ottawa and beyond, donors contributed with enthusiasm and determination to ensure this grand piece of property would be protected. They contacted friends and family to tell them of the campaign and ask for their support. And the support came. We received donations from across Canada , the U.S. and Europe . The message was clear Rock Dunder must be saved!

Saving Rock Dunder has been extremely successful and Rock Dunder has become a favourite place for visitors.
