2007 Leeds–Grenville International Plowing Match & Country Festival -
September 18 – 22, 2007

We were fortunate to have been invited to share space in the Living with Nature, Natural Connections Conservation Tent . The RWLT staff, Board Members, Land Trust members and an invited guest from the University of Guelph , Melissa Watkins, staffed the RWLT exhibit for five days. Melissa, who is the acting Executive Director of the Ontario Farmland Trust, spoke to many visitors about the Farmland Trust. The Ontario Farmland Trust is a non-profit organization that works with farmers, rural communities and other interested parties to promote the protection of farmlands in the province of Ontario.

 

The Rideau Waterway Land Trust would like to thank the Ministry of Natural Resources and in particular, Mr. Gary Neilson who invited the Land Trust to participate in this great event.
